Poems by Natalie Railoun

Summer 16

grapes cut from their vein
slaughtered heap of vine
smells of earth
of silkworms and mulberry leaves
the purple splatter of summer fruits
on childhood happiness

a haiku

Just after midnight
a toad swims across the moon
dogs bark at the pool
