Disappointment
You elbow me on the beach,
see that seal?
There, on the rock!
But it wasn’t.
The Beginning of the Next Day
Words pour in the rain
as Miss Kenton tells
Mr. Stevens she loves him
and he tells her he loves her too.
They kiss.
